UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.  Also to develop a creative, supportive friendship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in global ministries.

We have the opportunity to participate in three mission studies each year held at different United Methodist Churches.  Our other projects/missions are to collect used postage stamps, souplabels, box tops for Education, and pink Yoplait lids; support Adulum House and Nellie Burge center; provide Upper Room devotional booklets to 2 nursing homes; prepare and distribute fruit baskets at Thanksgiving for Meals on Wheels participants and elderly and grieving church members; provide Yester Year luncheon for senior citizens in our church and community' provide Bibles to new members who need them and members of the Confirmation Class each year; contribute $100 for Christmas gifts to Cottage 63 at Selma Children's Home.

Each month one circle will prepare Wednesday Night Supper to raise funds for our projects.
